Men Versus Women – Fast Learners

Cast your mind back to that gut wrenching day when you took your first driving test. Were you one of the smug ones who came out of the test centre having passed first time, or did you have to go through the nerve racking process of rebooking your test and waiting to try again?

Confused.com have claimed this week that women drivers take a lot longer to pass their driving test than their male equivalents, with studies showing that, on average, women take twenty one lessons to pass, while men take only seventeen. It went on to say that men are more likely to pass their driving test first time, with 54 per cent of men taking a second time, compared to the slightly higher figure of 57 percent of women.

People have argued over the men and women debate for years, to determine who are the better and safer drivers, and this report only adds fuel to the men’s side! It seems men can now chalk the quickest learner mark onto their board, and get ready for the next round. Previous reports have also ruled in favour of the men, saying that they are also better parkers, while other reports have qualified ladies arguments, stating that they are the safer drivers.

Some people do argue that drivers are safer if they take their test on more than one occasion, so of you failed first time then there is no need to feel inferior, as you may in actual fact be safer drivers.

It may however, mean that men, who seem to get the short deal on Car Insurance Quotes, may get a cheaper deal!
