Give your car a bit of love, and it will reward you in the long run. A car that is kept well maintained will last a lot longer, and cost you a lot less in repairs over the years. If you do a couple of little things to your car each month, you should be able to avoid expensive trips to the mechanic and reduce your chances of having an accident, keeping Car Insurance premiums low.
1) Get the brake fluid checked out on a regular basis. If you have a leak here, it could cause massive damage to the car, and the hazard of a potentially fatal accident.
2) Check the engine oil. Without this, you cars engine will seize up. All you have to do is pull the dipstick out of the engine, wipe it clean, dip it back in and pull out to see where the oil comes up to. Your handbook will tell you the range that is safe, and if its running a bit low, get it topped up quickly.
3) Check the tyre pressure. Your handbook will tell you the correct pressure for your tyres, and by keeping them accurate you will make them last longer, and protect the car.
4) Check the coolant. If there is adequate liquid here, your car will run smoothly and efficiently. Add a drop of anti freeze and you will save it from freezing in the winter, and overheating in the summer.
By making sure that you do these little tips every month, you should find that your car will run smoothly and give you less hassle!
