Put Water In My Car – Are You In Outer Space?

Just the idea of running your car on water is such a foreign concept that you’d think it would have to be some type of alien technology.
I remember hearing a group of girls back in High School talking about pouring salt water or sugar water down one of their ex-boy friend’s gas tank after they’d been “dumped” but, I never knew if any one of them actually did it.
I do remember sitting in class and remember those three girls conversation behind me because years later I came across an article in a popular science type of magazine that talked about Brown Gas and how to get Hydrogen Gas out of water.
More specifically it talked about if we could ever figure out how to get the Hydrogen Gas out of water we would have a fuel supply that would change the world forever.
When I read that article I remembered those girls talking about pouring water down that guy’s gas tank and how funny it would have been if it were a car that ran on water, just as the article described.
The truth is it wouldn’t have been very funny at all because water still will destroy your engine and pouring water down your cars fuel tank wasn’t at all what the researchers were trying to explain, no matter that it came across to me like that way.
What they talked about all those years ago was separating the Hydrogen Gas from the H2O molecular structure and burning it as a fuel and not burning the water itself.
About two years ago I watched a home-made video this guy had created about how he was using Hydrogen. He used it to run his lawnmower I believe. It was actually pretty exciting because all he used was an ole beer can and some wires and his lawnmower actually ran on water, err, Hydrogen Gas.
It was the very first time I saw the potential of this technology working before my eyes. The lawnmower only ran for a few seconds and I remember thinking that I hope before I die that someone figures this stuff out. It sure would be great not to have to pay these high Gasoline prices.
I said it, but not a full 2 years go by and I start hearing about people running full sized cars and trucks on Hydrogen Fuel and I didn’t believe it for a second. Over the years I heard about the government shut down many fuel saving hoaxes that I didn’t even want to waste my time and certainly not my money on another one.
Then this year my local gas stations prices jumped up to over $3 a gallon and I continued to see these ads about people claiming to be running their cars on water – these ads were everywhere! Yet, I kept waiting for some government agency to come in and shut them down just like the rest… But that never happened.
Finally I received and email about this water for fuel technology in my own in box and I decided to check it out. Low and behold I instantly recognized it as the same technology I’d read up on years earlier.
I knew Hydrogen was a viable fuel source. I knew it was a better fuel source than fossil fuels such as Gasoline or Diesel. I knew the problem has always been how to get the Hydrogen out of the water in a cost effective way and in a safe way.
The website I read all but explained every detail of the process and gave specific answers to how those problems had been overcome and it was very affordable too. To tell you the truth, I was almost “gitty” with excitement! You see my wish had come true!
I lived long enough to see water being used as a fuel source to run our cars and I really didn’t have to wait that long to see it come to pass either.
You still can’t just go pour water down your gas tank, (unless you’re mad at them – Just Kidding) but now I’m confident I’ll live to see that problem solved to!
If you haven’t, get on the web and checkout the simple but powerful advancements in using Hydrogen for fuel that have been reached and consider getting involved with the movement. It will save you money and will help save our planet.

A look at concept cars

A Look at Concept Cars

A concept car has many roles to play in the automotive industry. Concept cars can be used by manufacturers to estimate the public opinion of a new model or even an entire design philosophy. Concept cars are also used as experimental design projects called styling exercises.

Concept cars do not go for mass production until and unless these cars are approved by a large number of consumers. These cars go into production once the car makers verify the reaction and the feedback of the customers with respect to looks, style, design and technology.

Most of the concept cars are renovated before going into mass production, while some undergo minor changes and some are not even produced for public use.

Design of Concept Cars

The materials used in the production of concept cars differ from car makers to car makers. Most of them use non-traditional, exotic and cheap materials like carbon fibre, plants, fabric and even paper to design their concept car. On the other hand, there are some car makers that use refined alloy to deliver unique car layouts. Some of them even give special attributes that are never found on cars and are just impractical when it comes to production.

Very few among an ever escalating list of concept cars actually get converted into fully drivable cars with a working drivetrain. The reason is the impractical and unprofitable materials used for designing. Moreover, if these cars are put into production, these concept cars often have to borrow the drivetrain from other production cars owned by the same company. However, the drivetrain has to be refined and modified to eliminate certain defects and imperfections.

Role of Concept Cars

Concept cars do play an important role in the car industry. These cars help to visualize the image of the future car industry. Concepts are mainly used by car designers and car manufacturers to determine public opinion or consumer’s reaction to an innovative, unusual and weird car design. When the public exhibits positive response for the concept car models, they go for mass production and if they show a negative response, manufacturers drop the idea of introducing them to the market.

Car manufacturers go beyond imaginations and boundaries of production technique to showcase their advanced technology and imaginative concept. But they experiment or perform styling exercises to gain public attention and make a firm decision of what to roll out next.

With gasoline rapidly approaching $4/gallon in the United States, there is a renewed interest in carpooling. The Internet has provided us with new options for finding others with whom to carpool compared to those available during the gas crunches of the seventies. This is clear from the dozens – if not hundreds – of carpool sites on the Internet.
Some of those websites are only intended for commuters in a given metropolitan area. Others are intended for the entire U.S. Still others offer their services to anyone in the world. Many of the sites are not user-friendly, requiring would-be carpoolers to wade through long lists of other users, trying to figure out which users have similar schedules and have homes and workplaces close to those of the would-be carpoolers.
One of the newest websites devoted to carpooling is RideshareOptimizer.com, a free site created to allow users to easily find their optimal carpool partners. A user enters his origin and destination addresses, travel times in each direction, whether the trip is a daily commute or a single trip, and whether the user is looking for a ride or to provide a ride. The site then provides a list of potential carpool partners ordered by how far the drivers would have to go out of his or her way to pick up a rider, or vice versa.
While RideshareOptimizer.com helps users find a particular partner for carpooling, MyCasualCarpool.com, another free site, helps users use existing parking lots that are largely empty during the week (e.g., church parking lots – only with permission of the owners of the lots, of course) as park and ride lots for their daily commutes to areas with high concentrations of workers such as office parks, downtown areas, and large industrial facilities. Rather than having set carpool partners, commuters who want rides wait at the lots to be picked up by commuters offering rides.
The inspiration for MyCasualCarpool.com is a rideshare method called “slugging” by commuters in cities such as Washington, D.C. and Houston. Slugging is the practice of drivers who want to use the High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes picking up riders in designated parking lots to reach the required vehicle occupancy levels to use the HOV lanes. The driver gets to work faster and the “slug” gets a free ride. MyCasualCarpool.com allows users to propose a park and ride lot for commuters going to a particular place at a particular time, and find out how many other users are interested in such a lot.
RideshareOptimizer.com and MyCasualCarpool.com offer commuters (in the United States only) wanting to carpool new options for finding partners. Both sites welcome comments and suggestions from users and prospective users on ways to improve the sites.
