Body kits and other dual purpose products

When you choose to spend on your car after you have bought it, you will be faced with a choice of buying products that improve the looks or buying products that improve the performance. With a limited budget you may feel you will be able to manage only one or the other. But wait, there are products that do both. Listed below are some products that enhance the looks and improve the performance.

Body kits are mostly used to enhance the looks of the car. But some components like car spoilers do enhance the aerodynamics. Performance body kits will give you the dual benefit of better looks and better performance.

A cold air intake also serves a dual purpose. Though primarily it improves engine performance by reaching more oxygen to it, the air intake via say a hood scoop gives your car a racing car look. The cold air intake also gives your car a great deep roaring sound which enhances its appeal.

Then you have projector headlights. These lights light up the road more brightly at night and they give your car a great look. Since the headlights are one of the most visible features of the car they have a great positive impact on the looks of your car. Similarly some tail lights also light up brightly at night making your drive safer. And these tail lights give your car stunning looks as well.

Lowering springs also enhance the looks by giving your car a low slung racing car look. You will have noticed sports cars are usually low slung and hug the road as they cruise along. Although their primary purpose is to improve the handling, response and stability by lowering the center of gravity of your car.

Fog light make your car look like a professional car that is ready for anything. They set you apart from the stock car others buy from the showroom. Though of course the real purpose of fog lights is to help you see better when the visibility is poor.

Doing up your car is great fun and if you do it wisely you will get great value as well. You can find a wide range of the latest car aftermarket products at www.ilovebodykits.com.

Hydrogen fuel cars are a reality

Hydrogen Fuel Cars are a Reality

Hydrogen fuel is ideal in many ways. No wonder, so much of research has been made towards developing Hydrogen fuel cars. One of the main reasons is that Hydrogen is capable of delivering a good amount of energy. It burns clean, the car runs better, and the engine enjoys longevity. However, it is not possible to run a car only on hydrogen.

The best way to build a hydrogen fuel car is to come up with a hydrogen gasoline hybrid. Here, you would be burning a bit of hydrogen in conjunction with gasoline in order to enhance the fuel efficiency of the car. This will also help you to decrease the overall amount of pollution created with the gasoline.

It is true that hydrogen cannot be stored as it can explode when under wrong circumstances. Hence, there is research going on to develop special tanks constructed of advanced materials to store a good amount of it safely and in a compact manner.

There are several benefits of using Hydrogen fuel cars. Here are some of the benefits you can really enjoy:

a) Enhanced fuel efficiency:

When you burn hydrogen in conjunction with gasoline, you can actually increase the overall efficiency of your car’s engine. These have been reports coming in from latest guides claiming to provide more than 60 per cent increase in mileage. Now, getting 60% more miles each gallon from your car is really something.

b) Cleaner Exhaust:

Hydrogen burns cleanly. This in turn, increases the mileage of your car and the amount of pollution produced is far less. Now, what more one would want when he or she gets more mileage, less of pollution and greater efficiency? No wonder Hydrogen fuel cars are gathering more and more popularity on a daily basis?

c) Lower fuel costs:

This is the best benefit one can enjoy via using Hydrogen fuel cars. These days, when prices for fuel are skyrocketing, hydrogen powered cars are a great source of relief. With these wonder cars, you can enjoy a significantly increased mileage. This, in turn means super savings on fuel. These savings on fuel will easily pay you a lot of money for the cost of the modifications. This in turn, facilitates your car to burn hydrogen and you save a lot of money in a short spam of time.

With so many benefits of using Hydrogen fuel cars, conversion of gasoline cars into Hydrogen fuel cars is speeding up. There are several cost effective guides available readily to the public. These inexpensive guides are efficient and informative enough to convert a regular car into a hydrogen fuel car.

Many people across the globe have purchased these guides and converted their vehicles into hydrogen fuel cars and trucks.

How to choose a driving instructor

Choosing a driving instructor is a big decision and making the correct one can be difficult.

Where do you start?

What do I ask?

How much will it cost?

Can I trust them?

Where to start is the easy bit, you can search online or look in the local business directory.  If you search online like most people do, make certain you narrow your search criteria down to driving lesson or driving instructor in your town, otherwise you will end up with pages of driving schools in faraway places. Some times the best way is to ask friends or families, who may have used this driving school or instructor before, and can recommend them.

What to ask is important, you need to know if they are qualified to teach, they should have a green badge in their car, and this should be displayed whenever they provide paid lessons, this is law.  If they hold a pink badge they are a trainee, but are still allowed to give driving lessons for money. You should also ask what their pass rate is, this should be above the national average for the driving test, which is 43% and what is their grade this should be 4, 5 or 6 the higher the better. If they are not able to answer your questions then don’t book your lesson with this instructor or driving school.

Cost is important, but cheap deals should be avoided as this may indicate that the instructor is desperate for work, not a good sign. Try to negotiate a block booking, so ask for 10% if you book a block of say 10 hours. Some driving schools offer the first hour free or a reduced rate as a taster lesson. The rate nationally can vary from ?18 to ?30, this can depend on where you live so it’s always best to shop around locally. Ask if the car they are using is new, or at least a few years old, if they are driving a 10 year old banger, you want to go elsewhere.

Trust is important, again if your not certain book your first lesson and see if you get on, make a decision after this, always ask your parents to get involved, meet the instructor at your home as they should pick you up from a location of your choice.

Your first lesson

Your instructor will pick you up from your home, school or place of work. Your driving instructor will then explain to you how your driving course is going to work. What to prepare for how to study for the theory test, there will be a lot going on in your first lesson, so a two hour session is usually the norm.  You will driven somewhere away from busy streets, so you do not have to deal with any complex traffic situations on your first lesson.  Bring along or wear some sensible shoes that will make using the foot controls easier. More information on your first driving lesson will be continued in this blog.

Car Auctions For Income – How to Use Car Auctions to Make Money

Car auctions are not only a great place to buy a car, they are also an excellent way to generate income in a relatively short amount of time. The best part of it all is that it’s very easy to do. As long as you follow these general guidelines you can average a profit of $1,500-$3,000 on each car you buy and sell.

Your most obvious starting point is the find out when and where the next car auction will be held in your city. You can do this by either looking through the newspaper, calling your local police station or towing yard or by buying a list of all of the car auction sites in your city. I prefer getting the list because it provides me the information on numerous locations, such as their address, phone number and even website.

After you have found out when the next auction will be, your next step is to find out what kind of cars will be sold there. You can do this by visiting the site 2-3 days before the auction or by going to their website which will usually provide you with information on the cars such as their year, make, model and mileage.

Once you have this information, select a couple of cars that you would be interested in selling. The ideal car would be one that has a low to average amount of miles on it. Now, using a Kelly Blue Book, look up the trade in value of the car because that will be your target price that you will want to pay for the car. Anything above that price will eat into your profits.

When the auction date rolls around all you have to do is inspect the vehicle to make sure that it is running good and has no signs of being in an accident, flood or fire. Once the auction starts, stick to your guns and don’t over bid for the cars you have done research on.

After you buy the car, the only thing left to do is sell it. You can do this by placing an ad on craigslist, autotrader or in your local newspaper. By selling the car for $100-300 less than what everybody else is asking for will have you car sold in a matter of no time.

Once you buy and sell a couple of cars, the process of researching the car’s value and checking for damage will get easier for you. But watch out because you can only sell so many cars before having to get a dealer’s license, which can be pretty expensive. So, check with your state’s DMV office once you sell more than 2-3 cars.
